PCOS Guideline Development Group Meetings

PCOS Guideline Development Group Meetings

Over the past six weeks, five groups of PCOS experts from around the world met as part of the PCOS Guidelines Development Groups (GDG) to update the international guidelines for PCOS.

Our Centre is leading the update of the international Polycystic Ovary Syndrome guidelines specifically addressing identified gaps and new knowledge generated under the Centre.

The five meetings took place in Midway City – California, Prato – Italy, Melbourne – Australia, with a range of international experts – researchers, clinicians and consumers attending different meetings. Some of the Centre’s early and mid-career researchers were involved in the systematic reviews and metanalysis, which was great exposure and a fantastic opportunity.

The GDGs have created and expanded necessary data sets and all these outputs will be directly integrated into the guidelines. The updated international guidelines will have a significant health impact on the health and lives of women with PCOS and will be released in 2023.

Thank you to all those involved in attending and organising the GDG meetings.
