Early to Mid-Career Researcher Collective

Membership to the group has grown to over 50, and includes PhD students, early to mid-career researchers, clinicians and scientists. The group provides leadership workshops, capacity building, research collaboration events and more. Read the 2021 EMCR update.

The CRE WHiRL Early to Mid-career Researchers/ PhD Students Collective was formed in October 2020 by PhD candidate, Dr Chau Thien Tay (Jillian). The Collective’s members initially were recruited from PhD candidates and early to mid-career (5-15 years postdoctoral) researchers who were under the mentorship of the CRE WHiRL investigators.

Membership has now grown to include clinicians and scientists nationally and internationally (Netherland, Sweden) who all have the same passion to advancing women’s health research and improving health outcomes.

The aims, goals and future directions were entirely driven by members of the Collective with the CRE WHiRL providing mentorship and support. The Collective has grown to a  network of over 50 members globally, provided opportunities for leadership workshops, capacity building with regular events and successful research collaboration among the members. The next major event the Collective is planning for is a face to face event which will combine poster presentations and award, mentoring session and other fun activities alongside the CRE WHiRL annual meeting in 2021!
